Gallery 512 Boutique

Modern and affordable clothing, accessories and furnishings…

Welcome to our new Gallery 512 (five-twelve) Blog!! We are made up of three crafty sisters (Jess, Mic, & Danielle) and our mother, Judy (the inspirational woman who originally instilled and honed our creative interests).
Mic, the middle sister, resides with her family in Northern MN, and the remainder of our family lives about 15-20 minutes from one another in Southern MN. We all have a passion for creating, growing, and cultivating ideas and enjoy finding new projects to create for our homes. We spend a significant amount of time on the phone texting or talking about our projects to one another. We have often dreamt of starting a blog as a means to share our creations with one another – phone screens are just too small!! This has been a long time coming, and we are very excited to see this blog finally come to life!

The name of our blog, Gallery 512, has significant meaning to us. Our brother, Shane, took his life in February of 2013, and our projects have been a way of therapy and self-care in helping us work through our grief. They give us quiet time to think, reflect and remember. Shane had many creative talents and was especially gifted in the area of ironworking, a trade he originally learned from our Father. He was especially proud of his membership and employment with the Local Iron Workers 512 Union, and upon his acceptance into the association he had the tattoo “IW512” inked upon the back of his arm. Therefore, the number 512 has become significant in his memory to us and we thought it fitting to share part of Shane in our blog. As now, more than ever, we wish to stay connected and share in each others’ busy lives despite the physical distance between us all.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop back as we share some of our most recent projects – we’ve been pretty busy! (:

Not the best photo… it was cold, windy and rainy that day but it’s a recent one with all of us.
