Awhile back Pottery Barn came out with a set of Queen Anne dining room chairs that came in all different colors. I absolutely loved them and wanted to try it with a set of 6 chairs that I had purchased from a local thrift shop.
My original plan was to paint two chairs each in red, yellow and Duck Egg Blue (Annie Sloan Paint Color). One side of our table has a bench and the other side has two chairs so I thought that would give me the option to change out the two chairs that sit permanently at my dining room table and add a pop of color & character into the room. I plan to store the rest in the basement to be used when we have get togethers and such.
So far I have two of the chairs done. I’ve painted one in Annie Sloan Emperor’s Silk and one in Annie Sloan Arles with AS Clear and Dark Wax topcoats. I really like the fun colors together at the table but decided I want to try to paint the next set in more subtle colors so I’m going to use Annie Sloan French Linen. I think this color will blend really well with my dining room. I’ll be sure to share those when they are done. Thanks for looking!
