DIY Magazine Holder

I picked up this wire basket frame a few weeks ago and knew immediately that I was going to turn it into a book and magazine holder for my sunroom.

Since it was just a frame I needed to add a bottom. I used wooden slats that I cut down to size myself (after a refresher safety lesson from Peter. I haven’t used a table saw since shop class in high school and I forgot how much fun it is!)

After they were cut to fit into the metal base I sanded & stained each one with Minwax Dark Walnut and once they were dry I set them into the bottom of the frame. Since they sit pretty snuggly together I didn’t have a need to glue them so this little project ended up being much easier than I originally anticipated!
