Every summer I make myself a list of projects I want to complete by the end of the summer. For me there is just something about crossing a completed project off my list that keeps me motivated to keep going.
I just finished this summer’s list and to Pete’s dismay it’s four pages long (three pages longer than my previous lists). In my defense we did just move into our house last fall so I have had all winter to come up with ideas. I know that realistically we will probably only get about 1/4 of these projects done this summer but it is nice to have a plan.
I’ve been dreaming of making the back porch into a sunroom since we moved in last fall so I could have somewhere to sit and relax and enjoy a cup of morning coffee or an evening margarita so I thought this would be a perfect place to start on the list.
This afternoon jumped right in and started painting the stucco with a fresh coat of white paint and already it’s looking much better. The floor, both doors and the hardware will all be painted yet, curtains will be hung, a ceiling fan is going in along with some porchlike furniture and lots of plants. I remembered to snap a before picture so I’ll leave you with that for now but I’ll be sure to share updates as this project progresses!! ~Jess
